Nick Cave: forOTHERmore: MCA Chicago, June 2022
Today I took a MuseumMeeting™ at the Museum of Contemporary Art with a colleague. When I first approached the Nick Cave: forOTHERmore show, I brought a knowing familiarity. His work is widely shown in museums and he's Chicago-based, so I felt like I knew him. That kind of breezy top-of-mind thought can be arrogance.
In walking through the show, I was disabused of all that, and saw fresh / new what a living genius, what a towering human he is. I am grateful.
